In 2018 I graduated from the University of Michigan and promptly took myself and my degree to Utah to begin a career as a nurse. I worked orthopedics and emergency while living out west and happened to meet my husband during this time too. In 2020 we got hitched on a mountain in a covid-elopement style and our lives have continued to get crazier since. Together, my husband (Jim) and I moved back to MI to be closer to family in 2021. We rented a house while saving money for a year and purchased our first home in 2022. A fixer-upper built in the 1950s. Home ownership comes with it’s own budgets and headaches, but I love the challenge and skills gained through the process of making a home room-by-room. Now, I am pregnant with our (Lord-willing) first child earth-side. The pregnancy and fertility journey has not been a walk in the park and I hope to share more about that on this blog.
